Rural Opportunity Institute believes deeply that the people with the lived experience in our communities are the experts. We use the human-centered design process to do interviews with community members, parents, youth and providers so we can better understand their experience.
We use systems thinking and mapping to uncover and illuminate the forces and patterns in our community that drive our current outcomes and realities. This serves as the foundation for building a shared vision across sectors of how best to accomplish our shared goals.
